just back fr a 5-day cycling trip across taiwan, which is a grand finale of my 1-year A2TPE posting . i biked from 台北 to 屏東 (the most southern province) from 14-17Jul, atotal of over 450km , and i flew back to taipei today while the rest of the group continues with their another 5-day cycling up the east coast.

taiwan is more than books and night markets. there are many beautiful places here. biking across taiwan was definitely tough. i experienced it, i enjoyed it and i'm so proud of myself for completing the journey...horhor ... it's a good training for physical fitness aswell as persistence . it's also a demonstration of teamwork. if i were biking by myself, i wouldn't be able to make it . though everyone says the eastern coast is prettier than the west, i have no regrets for biking to 屏東 instead of around taiwan given my time constraint and the hilly landscape in the east

Wow~ I'm so proud of you!! I agree that the east coast should be tougher, we have seen that first hand last month when we drove around the island. Congratulations on completing the biking trip!  Have fun and enjoy the remaining of your TPE posting and good luck with Hanoi next month =) I miss you!
